5 Cute (and Simple) Ways to Celebrate Friendship Day
One A handwritten letter is such a special surprise to receive! Write a heartfelt note to your friend, telling them how much you appreciate their friendship. Don’t know how to put it into words? Here are some writing prompts:
- Tell the story of how they were there for you during a hard time.
- Reminisce about the first day you met!
- Make an anagram out of their name, with an adjective for each letter (ie, L is for Loyal, T is for trustworthy).
Two Surprise them at work and take them to lunch or out to a coffee date! If they’re too busy to leave the office, you can bring them coffee or lunch with a little note of appreciation and a wish for a great day.
Three Who doesn’t LOVE to receive a bouquet of flowers? A bright and sunny bouquet is such a great way to send a reminder of friendship. Bonus points for sending them a bouquet of their favorite flowers or their favorite color!
Four Do them a favor! Is there an errand they need to run but don’t have the time, or do they need someone to babysit so they can finally go on that date with their spouse? Love is a verb – an action – serve your friends!
Five Take a walk. Going on a nice long walk is good for the soul! If the weather is going to be nice on Monday evening, offer up a walk around the neighborhood with your friend! You can bear your souls to each other and get some exercise – it’s a win-win.
