One lump or two?

I am a girl with a love of teapots & tea parties.  It’s always been this way.  When I was very young the parties were mud pies and muddy cups of air that no one would even pretend to drink out of.  Later the parties progressed to a china tea set and parties with my teddy bears sitting around the table.  We had deep conversations about coloring, skipping rope and sofa cushion forts.   Some things don’t change in people, I still make sofa cushion forts and I still love tea parties.  The other day I happened to see Teri (one of our talented designers) arranging new items.  She had in her hands the teapot of all teapots, but wait (!) it’s a set.  A ray of sunlight broke through the clouds and shined upon this glorious and fantastic tea set.  Have you ever seen a teapot that pours two cups at the same time?  It is magical; it’s the Tea For Two Gift Set!  But wait!  There was another fantastical set with creamer & sugar.  The Stackable Tea Tower.  Being the one for you and one for me kind of shopper, the Tea For Two Set is being ordered for my best friend in Virginia.  You’ll find me in my sofa fort with the Stackable Tea Tower having deep conversations about cloud formations, favorite books and the best places for breakfast on the...

Finding that Perfect Gift

Each year I struggle to come up with new fun gifts for my little brother. 12 year old boys are much harder to shop for than you may think! He is just coming out of the toy stage and starting to get into new hobbies. I always have to ask myself, what can I get that he is going to love and use for a long time? It definitely takes some research to find that gift that he is going to be proud to show everyone and let them know that his big sister gave it to him.  I was browsing through our new products and found that perfect gift I was looking all over for..the Inspirational Pencil Set with Free Embossing! It is a great leather book complete with 12 assorted colored pencils, a sharpener and a spiral sketchpad with plain white paper. The best part about it is you can include free engraving! Most 12 year olds I know would be ecstatic to have their own personal notebook with their complete name engraved on it. When I gave it to him he gave me a big hug and said “Thanks, sis!”. Now he has the perfect set up to  pursue his drawing hobby,  and he will have a constant reminder of his cool sister that gave it to him....

Wines That Rock

I love some good classic rock n’ roll! I also love a good glass of wine. Imagine my excitement when I saw one of our newest gifts, Wines That Rock. It’s the best of both worlds! You get 3 bottles of Mendocino County wines, all in a rock and roll theme. The first is Rolling Stones Forty Licks – which is a dry red, with flavors of black cherry, plum, brown sugar and cedar. The second wine is a Woodstock Chardonnay – with great flavors of pear, papaya, and citrus. The final bottle (and my personal fave), a nod to Pink Floyd, is the Dark Side of the Moon Cabernet. This cabernet has rich flavors of vanilla bean and hints of chocolate. Each wine was created while blasting the tunes of the album pictured on the wine label. If you know a die hard music lover who also loves a good glass of wine, this makes a fun, fantastic gift for any occasion. It’s a great conversation starter too. Rock...

Art Carafe with Glass Cork

I love to entertain, and I’m always looking for new items to make me feel like the ‘hostess with the mostest’. Which is why I’m so thrilled with one of GiftTree’s new products, the Art Carafe with Glass Cork. I absolutely love it! It is an elegant, functional and versatile carafe. You can definitely use this carafe for wine – it keeps chilled white wine cooler longer (which is perfect for those warm summer days) and it serves as a decanter for red wine. Even if you aren’t a wine drinker, you will still find the carafe handy. It would make a wonderful presentation on the breakfast table with juice or you could even us it to store your favorite oil with style. The carafe holds 400 ml and comes elegantly wrapped to make it the perfect...

Be Careful What You Wish For

A project manager, software engineer and hardware engineer were in Miami Beach for a two-week period helping out on a project. During their lunch hours, they would often walk up and down the beach. In the middle of one of these walks, they stumbled upon a lamp. The hardware engineer picked up the lamp and rubbed it. A genie appeared and said, “Normally I would grant 3 wishes, but since there are 3 of you I will grant you each one wish.” The hardware engineer chimed, “I would like to live in a huge house in St. Thomas, with no money worries and given all of the fame in the world.” The genie granted him his wish and sent him off to St. Thomas. The software engineer went next. “I would like to live on a huge yacht cruising the Mediterranean, with no money worries and a gorgeous wife.” The genie granted him his wish and sent him off to the Mediterranean. Last, but not least, it was the project manager’s turn. “And what would your wish be?” asked the genie. “I want them both back after lunch,” replied the project manager. Since the beginning of time wishing has been believed to be magical by both the superstitious and non-superstitious alike. Ancient legends from far away countries have told tales of wish-granting genies while others cast their wishes upon flowers, hold their breath under tunnels or search for wishing wells which are said to grant the deepest desire of any person that sacrifices a coin inside as payment. While dreaming of something wonderful of our own, GiftTree came across...

Easter

I remember when I was younger, my stepmom used to put together little Easter care packages for my brother and I. She lives in Louisiana and, at the time, I lived in Florida so we were rarely together for the holiday. The box usually came with a chocolate bunny, candy, Easter grass and other small Easter themed treasures. It was definitely one of the highlights of the year. GiftTree’s Easter baskets really remind me of the boxes I used to get. If you haven’t seen our Easter gifts this year I highly suggest checking them out. We even offer same day or next day delivery for quite a few of our baskets which makes them great for last minute shoppers (like me). Also, in case you didn’t know, Easter is on April 4th this...
