Show Your Appreciation

When you received a gift from someone, you either sent them a “thank you” card, or you called them on the phone to express a little gratitude. When a simple card or phone call just doesn’t fit the bill, GiftTree gift baskets are the answer. Gift baskets are a great way to express your thanks. GiftTree.com has an entire Thank you gift line to serve all of your needs. Some of my favorite gift baskets are the Thank You Cakes, The Crowd Pleaser, The Valencia Wine Gift Basket, Park Avenue Luxury Gift Basket, Toast of Broadway Gourmet Gift Basket, and the Vintage Wine Barrel. There are times when you want to send someone a gift – sometimes it’s for extra hard work that they’ve done for the company, for doing you a huge favor when you needed it most, or for just being there. A gift basket works really well because the recipient will have a variety of unique, high-quality items to show them how much they are really appreciated. Human nature tells you that people like to be appreciated when they do a job well done, or when they go out of their way to help someone else. The Thank You Cakes are hand decorated petit fours containing three layers of moist cake and three layers of luscious butter cream filling. There are a total of 24 cakes in six different flavors, including vanilla-orange, lemon, raspberry, hazelnut praline, apricot, and chocolate. The Crowd Pleaser is filled with generous portions of Aaron Bell Roasted Almonds, Macadams’ Snickerdoodles, Hathaway’s Lemon Drops, Aaron Bell Almond Caramel Popcorn, Spicy Guadalajara Mix, Brown...

Christmas Stockings

What a great Christmas gift–the Gourmet Christmas Stocking! At our house we always need a place to hang the Christmas Stockings! Stockings have been hung for decades here in the United States. Did you know the Christmas Stocking originally came into practice in the 16th Century? It has been said that the Dutch started the tradition with children leaving straw in their clogs for the reindeer and a treat for “Sinterclass” by the fire. In return a gift was left for the children. Soon the clogs were replaced by stockings and “Sinterclass” became Santa Claus. A German version of the Christmas Stocking’s history says,  St. Nicholas would fill the stockings with 5 gifts designed to stimulate the 5 senses. A typical stocking would include: Something to eat-A toy that makes noise-An item that is visually pleasing (like jewelry)-An item with a good scent and A soothing toy-such as clay or a soft toy. Like all legends there are many versions of the Christmas Stocking and no one wants to be left with a lump of coal. This year we have a beautiful, appliquéd stocking filled with hot cocoa and yummy treats! A great Christmas gift for any member of the family. This would also make a great Christmas gift for the “hard to buy for” person. And don’t forget man’s best friends. We also have a beautiful version for the cat and dog of the house. The “Woof” and “Meow” stockings have treats and toys that will keep them busy for...

Santa’s Favorites From Around the World

Okay, so if you haven’t noticed, Christmas is all abuzz around here, and our Christmas gift baskets and Christmas gifts are all the rage! I’ve never worked at a place that embraces the holidays with such intensity, but I’m a pretty intense person so to put it mildly, I kinda dig it! I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to spoil my friends and family with gifts that I already know are great. You know there is always that fear that when you purchase something, especially for someone else, it’s just not going to live up to the expectations you had set for it. Not with our gift baskets, as all the employees around here will tell you, YUMMY! We are always pleasantly surprised with how delicious our gourmet products are, and are so proud to give them. It’s really hard for me to decide on a favorite, but I’ll tell you about one that I think is just plain fun, the Santa’s Favorites From Around the World. In true holiday fashion, we have gathered all of Santa’s favorites, presented them in a story like fashion, then gathered them all up in a stylish, map covered trunk! Filled with wines, sweets, savories, and 12 coffees from around the world, you’ll have fun looking at where all your goodies came from. After you have devoured all the worldy goods you can use the trunk as a storage case for all your holiday ribbons, or maybe ornament. Then when you pull the trunk out to once again prepare for the holidays it will be filled and will hopefully fill you with...

Wishing You Joy

Alright, somebody has to say it. Christmas is almost here. There, now that I’ve said it I can get excited! I love Christmas! Especially the gift giving, (good thing I work here). Last year I gave my grown boys these Christmas gift baskets that they ranted and raved about for months. Apparently they were “off the hook” so, I’m looking to do something like that again this year and I think I’ve found the one. The Wishing You Joy Gift Basket is sure to be a hit on so many levels. There will be none of that “how come he got a better one than me?” or “how come his looks more expensive than mine?” That’s the last thing I want to hear this year.  In fact, with these gifts I can pretty much guarantee that I won’t hear an ounce of complaining. Whether you’re crazy about Christmas or not, it’s never too late to start looking at what GiftTree has for the holidays this year. Maybe you’ll find a gift that’s “off the hook”...

Calendar of Fun

As adults the Christmas season seems to come so fast. That’s why I am excited about the new Christmas Gift Baskets that GiftTree has come out with this year. The selection is great and I really don’t think I’ll have any problems doing my shopping! But remember back when you were a kid and you just could not wait for Christmas? The days seemed never ending! Each year in Elementary School, one of our class projects was to make an Advent Calendar. The most memorable one we made was a cut out of Santa Claus’ face. The beard was covered with squares containing number coinciding with the days of the month.  And as each day passed in December, I would glue a cotton ball to Santa’s beard that coordinating with that day of the month. It was awesome as a kid, but what to do as an adult? GiftTree has an Advent Calendar for adults! It’s the Moonstruck Advent Calendar, so now you can count down the days to Christmas by enjoying a new chocolate truffle each day. That’s way better than gluing cotton balls to some construction...
