You know them, you love them: Foodies. They’re talking about the subtle nuances of their favorite dish, directing you to some new fangled restaurant in town, or posting a link to a great food blog they read… while it’s definitely fun getting restaurant recommendations and cooking advice from them, it’s not always easy to shop for the foodies in our lives. Luckily, GiftTree has some great new gift ideas to satisfy your favorite food lover, including tools for the kitchen and gourmet delights for the belly. Personalized Cheese Board with Tools: Perfect for any foodie’s kitchen, this wooden cheeseboard smoothly glides open to reveal four stainless steel cheese tools with wood handles, perfect for serving up artisan cheeses. Engrave their initials and make it as truly memorable and beautiful as it is useful! The Art of Caramel Popcorn Collection: Three contemporary glass canisters are filled to the brim with caramel corn that’s been reimagined and revamped with unexpected flavors like Kentucky Bourbon Black Pepper, Bananas Foster with Dark Rum, and Vanilla Bean Cocoa Nib. Presented in a branded wooden crate, its an unexpected gift to compliment any refined palette. Blackberry Farm Jam Collection: Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains of eastern Tennessee, the gastronomic mecca Blackberry Farm is an artisanal, farm-to-table retreat, situated on an idyllic 4,200-acre estate and overseen by former French Laundry Chef and Innkeeper Sam Beall. This collection of Blackberry Farm’s most prominent fruit jams is grown, picked and preserved from the farm’s own orchards and gardens. 12 oz. jars of Blackberry, Blueberry, Peach and Strawberry Rhubarb jams are...

This Why We Gift Wednesday, we’re celebrating our dear long distance friends. We may live miles and miles apart, but our hearts are side by side. We don’t get to see them every day, or talk to them nearly as often as we would like, but when we do, we pick up right where we left off. Because after all, true friendship isn’t about being inseparable, it’s about being separated and having nothing change. Comment below: Are you lucky enough to have a close friend across the miles? Tell us about...

The streamlined aesthetic of GiftTree’s beautiful collection is thanks in part to our talented design team, and one of the captains at the helm is the dynamic designer and buyer, Sydney Hasson. With her extensive knowledge of product design, Sydney conceptualizes and curates our Personalized and Spa Gifts. We sat down with Sydney to talk inspiration, her creative process and a little bit of life, too. Tell us a little about where you grew up! I was raised up and down the west coast in Los Angeles, Boise, and Portland. Between the small-town feel of Boise and the crazy pace of LA, I think Portland was the perfect “Goldilocks” place for me to end up! My childhood involved lots of family road trips, long hikes, and a huge number of home cooked meals. Where do your greatest passions lie? I’d definitely say with my family, my friends, the outdoors, and in good design. Where would we most likely find you on the weekends? Trying a new brewery or restaurant (we are spoiled for choice in Portland), skiing, playing with my Mini Schnauzer Zelda or bingeing on Netflix. When did you know you wanted to work in product design? I always loved making art, but Product Design allowed me to be creative and work with my hands in a very practical way. The whole process of product creation from concept iteration through product mockups is just really satisfying to me. I also love that it makes for a truly collaborative environment where no day at work is ever the same as the day before. What brought you to the Design Studio...
