Positive Praise: Employee Appreciation Gifts

Positive Praise: Employee Appreciation Gifts

March 2nd is Employee Appreciation Day, which is the perfect opportunity to show your employees that their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed! Employee appreciation gifts are simple yet powerful items that can drastically change a work environment.

At it’s most foundational level, showing appreciation makes employees feel human. Everyone wants to be respected by their managers, and gifts of appreciation are great ways to show that gratitude knows no bounds. Thank you gifts encourage employees to continue taking pride in their work, knowing that they are making a recognized contribution to their company.

Of course, appreciation increases employee happiness. Studies show that most employees feel happier and more productive at work after being positively recognized, and, resultantly, feel more satisfied with their jobs.

As a wider level, appreciation improves a company’s overall culture. For most, the ideal work environment is one where people are put first. By creating a culture of consistent recognition, you’re creating an environment that is harder for employees to leave.

  1. I like this idea! Our staff has received a couple of gifts in the past from our employer. These typically tend to be gift cards or bottles of alcohol. I’d love to see them mix it up, but regardless, it’s nice feeling appreciated.
