Welcome to Why We Gift Wednesday! Each week, we celebrate one of the thousands of reasons that we truly love giving. Whether it’s honoring the relationships that we have, feeling grateful for an occasion or a special time of year, or relishing life’s simple joys, Why We Gift Wednesday is all about giving and generosity – the expression of appreciation for life’s many happy moments.
You’ve unwrapped the great holiday gifts, you’ve attended all the fun parties – it’s time to get those thank you cards in the mail. So on this very chilly Why We Gift Wednesday, we dedicate this day to writing out thoughtful notes that let your gift-givers and party hosts know just how much you appreciate their time and effort. But how do we express our appreciation in a way that doesn’t end up understated? Here are some phrases of gratitude to start you off – hopefully you find a useful sentence or two to help you craft the perfect thank you note.
Thank you cards and notes are something important that should be integrated into your whole year, but what about thank you gifts? You certainly don’t need to send a thank you gift for a gift you received. But if a party host really went “all out” this holiday season and threw a huge soiree, spoiling all their guests to the nines, why not thank them with a gift of gratitude? It takes a ton of orchestration to plan a great party – show your appreciation for all their hard work, especially if you showed up to the party empty-handed. And we promise it won’t start a cycle of “no, thank you!” gifts being sent back and forth. 😉
What’s your favorite way to say thank you?
