Administrative Professionals Day always falls on the Wednesday of the last full week of April. If you are not familiar with the holiday (and you have been trying to figure out what your admin has been hinting at), Admin’s Day is an unofficial U.S. holiday created by the International Association of Administrative Professionals in 1952 to honor administrative professionals nationwide. The holiday used to be known as Secretaries Day but the name was changed to its current name in 2000 in order to include all administrative professionals. It is often customary for employers to give gift baskets or flowers to admins on this day (this might be what the hints were about).
Admin’s Day is one of the largest work related holidays in the United States. According to the United States Bureau of Labor, there are currently about 4.3 million secretaries and administrative assistants in the United States. It is one of the largest occupations in the U.S.
If you aren’t prepared yet for Admin’s Day, don’t worry, we have quite a few gift options available to help you out. If you are a last minute shopper, many of our gifts can usually be delivered on the same day you order if you place your order early in the day. We even have a whole section of our website dedicated to our favorite Admin’s Day gifts. So, check out our website. And if you have any stories about why you appreciate your admin, please leave a comment. I would love to hear it.
