Fun and bright balloon bouquets to express sentiments from the heart.
It was the morning of my daughter's third birthday, and I was a walking hurricane of stress.
I slept too late for breakfast, I had to work overtime the night before, go in early in the morning, schedule meetings with five clients before noon and somehow bring birthday balloons for Crystal’s party that night. My “only task” as my wife saw it. And I just didn't have time to do it.
I somehow got through all my morning meetings but I was still going to be chained to a desk until at least 5:30 and the party was at 6:00. My wife kept texting me - “honey, don't forget about the balloons” every 30 minutes or so – how could I? - but I just didn't know what I was going to do.
At my wit's end, around 1:30 I finally took a (fourth) coffee break to call my Dad for advice. He laughed, knowingly, and said “well, what about GiftTree.com? They have balloons. I always use them for your mother's birthdays. Check out their site – they'll help you out.”
I knocked back the last ounces of my cuppa joe, found GiftTree.com online in an instant, and pulled up their impressive balloon selection. So many options, and they were so easy to find! Four, Five, Six or Twelve mylar balloons, with the possibility of adding chocolates, a teddy bear, cookies, candy. All of which could still be delivered today. I noticed they had lots of balloons for all kinds of different occasions, too. I bookmarked the page and made a note on my desktop to use GiftTree's balloons for my anniversary or next time someone needs a good cheering up.
I still had to finish a few things at work, but I placed my order and was pleasantly reassured by the confirmation emails that came periodically showing my gift's status. When I was driving home from work, sitting in traffic, totally freaked out that the balloons might not be there, I called customer service who very cheerfully assured me that the delivery driver was in our neighborhood right now. I genuinely believed that the balloons would arrive before 6.
When I drove into the garage at 6:30, finally, Crystal ran out to me and said, “Daddy, look at my balloons! A nice lady brought them and they're so bouncy!” I was so relieved! I ordered at 1:45 and they got there before 6! I couldn't believe it. And my wife was so calm and relaxed, greeting me with a big welcome home hug, it couldn't have been a sweeter family moment.
Mission accomplished, birthday memory complete, all thanks to GiftTree!
