Dominus epitomizes the best qualities of Cabernet Sauvignon in a historic terroir of Napa Valley. Since its first release in 1983, the proprietary blend has been known for its extraordinary complexity and earthiness. The 2007 vintage has received universal acclaim with the Wine Enthusiast claiming to be "easily the greatest Dominus in memory."
Tasting Notes:
Beautifully crafted, ripe, rich, and creamy, Dominus Estate shows off sweet vanilla and mocha-scented oak before unfolding a deep core of blackberry tart, cherry, carob bean, and spice flavors. Firm tannins add structure on the finish.
Blend:
94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot.
Cellaring:
Exceptional potential for aging, with a suggested ten years for optimal maturity. This wine should drink well for the next 20-25 years.
Opus One 2009

Acclaim:
Full medium ruby. Wild, flamboyantly expressive aromas of black raspberry, crystallized blackberry, smoke, leather, licorice, bitter chocolate and cedar, lifted by violet and spices. Smooth, mouthfilling and decidedly dry, with a lightly dusty character to its flavors of dark fruits, minerals and game. The broad, very long finish features building tannins. Quite different in style from the higher-pitched 2008, which was tighter and more floral at the same stage of its evolution.
Tasting Notes:
Aromas of black olive and minerals underlie more traditional notes of dark chocolate, cola and espresso. Showing flavors of ripe blueberry, cassis and licorice, this age-worthy wine simultaneously offers a smooth finish and a slight grip of tannin at the close.

81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, 3% Merlot, 1% Malbec
