    The recipient can place a small memento such as ashes or a lock of hair in the compartment located under the wooden chime top. The compartment has a weatherproof seal, keeping your treasure safe and secure. Made of teak-finish ash wood and anodized aluminum, the large chimes produce a beautiful quality of sound that will provide a wonderful remembrance each time they ring.

      The windchimes were a sympathy gift for a cousin. She called and said they were beautiful. Her son hung them for her and they are a pleasant memory for the loss of her husband. They is a box to place a memento. She is going to choose that soon.

      I am always reluctant to send flowers for funerals or any other occasion; they don't leave a lasting memory or impression. this is why I LOVE Gift Tree!
      I sent these wind chimes to a friends family when his dad, who loved gardening, passed. The engraving was a beautiful touch, although a few extra letters who have been nice. The momento compartment allowed the grandchild to place their personal momentos. All in all it was a gift the entire family could share, enjoy, and remember for a longer time than flowers.

      I was told that the quality was amazing and the chime tones were soothing.

      Unique way to remember a loved one December 28, 2012

      What a unique way to remember a loved one. I purchased this for a co-worker who recently lost their mother. It was well received by the recipient. My only negative is I wished there were just a bit more room for personalization. I was a few characters short of what I wanted it to say. Overall, great product. Would recommend.

      I was looking for a gift that was different for a friends Dad who had passed away and was being cremated.I know he loved their garden and thought this was the appropriate gift.
      Flowers die and fruit baskets weren't going to cut it with someone who had allergies.
      I was told by the receprient that the sound of the chimes was not your normal tinning chime but a soothing almost Asian sound.
