Straddling both the Napa and Sonoma counties, the Mondavi Vineyards have built their reputation of excellence from the belief that their wines should be created with as little intervention as possible. They bottle their wines without filtration to preserve the character, fruit and texture of the flavors.

This gift includes: 1999 Carneros Pinot Noir (with layers of lush dark cherry, plum, rose petal, and exotic spice, the bright aromas and flavors linger through to the silky finish), a 2000 Carneros Chardonnay (vibrant, yet exceptional richness describe this wine, with enticing notes of citrus, ripe apple, tropical fruit and flowers, and a cinnamon spice highlight culminating a beautifully balanced finish), and a 2004 Napa Valley Merlot (which sports a vivacious nose, with waves of blackberry, black plum and huckleberry aromas merging with notes of tar, tobacco and vanilla oak).

Wine arrives in a wood crate engraved with a vineyard motif. Gift measures 16" x 14" x 6" and weighs 13 lbs.

Robert Mondavi Carneros Pinot Noir - Lovely Carneros cherry, pomegranate, cola and spice flavors with cool-climate acidity to produce a dry, silky table wine that's easy to like.

Robert Mondavi Carneros Chardonnay - Opulent and complex, with ripe pear, fig, pineapple, tropical fruit and floral character. Rich vanilla spice nuances, evocative of Creme brulee, linger in the extremely long finish.

Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Merlot (2004) - Sports a vivacious nose, with waves of blackberry, black plum and huckleberry aromas merging with notes of tar, tobacco and vanilla oak. In the mouth, rich black fruit flavors mingle with a bit of spice and a hint of taffy from toasted barrels, all harmoniously integrated with ripe tannins. A full-bodied yet supple wine, this Merlot has good structure, with excellent acidity that keeps it lively.
