What do you get for the dad that has everything?
Brandy – Customer Service Representative
Answer:
My dad is retired and, not that he’s old, but at his age, he has everything he needs and if he wants something, he buys it. When in doubt, I always buy him socks. He absolutely loves new socks. Every few birthdays or Christmas I might get him a new bathrobe. I also like to get him gifts that are meaningful. A sweet card that tells him how I feel or one of the gifts that he absolutely loved most was a picture of my brother, sister and I. The 3 of us got professional pictures taken of us and we framed 2 of the pictures. He absolutely loved that gift. I know every dad is different but I think most dads are sentimental and like to hear how much they are loved by their children.

I have the same problem with my dad too who has everything.. So I started getting him things that he would not purchase for himself but would like to have, like a portable grill or case for his fishing supplies. They might be little things but still meaningful.

The best gift that I got for my dad recently was a rotating remote control holder, that held pictures of us on my wedding day. Second best was the Portland Trailblazer/ LA Laker tickets my husband got him for Christmas.
