The Best Toffee in the World
If I had to pick just one food item from all of our Christmas gift baskets that I could absolutely not live without, it would be the Almond Chocolate Toffee in The Signature Collection. The gift basket is worth every penny just to get the toffee. I don’t think I have ever tasted anything so perfectly matched for crunchy and buttery or sweet and salty. Even opening the toffee is an experience to enjoy. The toffee is packaged in a pearl blue, two piece box. Upon removing the lid, a russet orange lining uniquely designed to unfold like a medallion ribbon presents the treasure within.
The toffee (a full pound of it) is in extra large chunks. Common sense tells one to break up the toffee, but one bite of this heavenly creation makes even the most self controlled person sneak a huge piece and hope that nobody will ask to share. Pieces are typically 1/4″ thick–they have to be to hold the whole almonds found inside the buttery goodness. Dipped in Belgian chocolate and generously coated with coarsely chopped almonds, it is simply the best of the best where toffee is concerned. With so many almonds in the coating, some are bound to shake loose. I’m confident in saying recipients will be unabashed and lick the bottom of the box. Yes, it is that good.

I’ll confirm Judy’s description of the toffee. It is truly irresistible! So buttery and with real almonds baked into the toffee, one bite and your senses are transported, your taste buds begging for more scarcely before you are finished chewing, and your diet plans are out the window (and you could care less).
I am just glad the sample box is finally gone because I could hardly concentrate with it being in the room.
