New Blooms for Your Kalanchoe Plant

Kalanchoe is an indoor plant that is very easy to care for. Most of the time people purchase the plant, wait till it blooms, and then simply then throw it away, not knowing how to make it rebloom. Here are the instructions to help your Kalanchoe plant rebloom.

The most important part that you need to know about this plant is that they are like cactuses and do not like to be over watered. It is suggested that you water your plant once a week and make sure the water is fully drained after watering. Also it’s best that you let the soil dry between watering.

Now after the blooming season, you trim the plant to the stalk and remover the root from the pot. Let the plat rest for about a month in a dimly lit area and limit the watering to once every two weeks. Meanwhile, fertilize the soil.

When the resting month is over, plant the root back in the fertilized soil and keep it in the darker room for about 10 hours a day. As soon as the plant begins to restore itself, it is safe to keep at any light area of the house. Just keep in mind that extreme sun exposure will burn the blooms.

Now that you have become more familiarized with the plant care, you can order yourself a garden basket with a kalanchoe plant like the ou Kalanchoe and Ivy Basket or the European Basket.
