I have just come across this site, and have found it interesting and informative.

I love the idea of having a special day for mom's but for me every day is special to me and I appreciate her everyday not just once a year and to be honest Mother's Day is just not the same any more now its all about the bigger the present, and that makes me so sad.

I have to say what would we all do with out our mothers in our lives, i would be completely devastated if I didn't have my mom. Even to this day and the age that I am, all grown up and living on my own I can still phone my mum and ask her for help be it with some groceries or even some cash, or even to look after my cat, she means the world to me and always will.
We should forever celebrate our mothers and not on this one day of the year, but every day.

Guidance from a distance...
When my mom left to work abroad, what she instilled with us is to really pray about everything. To fervently pray for each other every moment of the day. Though we're young, that really marked our minds and our hearts. And I wanted to share this to all... I was organizing all of the stuff in our house and other old things from Italy that were sent back to Manila. So I went checking all of the old pictures, snail mail back in 1999 and then I found a little notebook that looks so old. I didn’t realize it was my mom’s journal. It was a touching moment when I saw her prayerbook. The pages were a little torn and old. I browsed through it and I was just so moved and cried while reading it... My mom has always been praying for every little thing about us. Whenever we sleep, when we ride a bus, when we go to school, me and my siblings future partners, schooling, future jobs and all. I was in awe... Now I know why God has blessed us so much in our life -- our dearest mom has been praying for us all along...She knows that she can't take care of us physically. But she knows that God sees us every day... It is great to have her as our mother and I won't trade my mom to anyone... It is such a magnificent blessing to have a prayerful mom… So putting this story over the web is one way of telling the whole wide world how grateful I am to have you Mom in our lives. You are a magnificent mother. I will forever say to everyone that mother will always be God’s given source of wisdom… To all the mothers out there. Happy mothers Day!

My mom has always been there for me. She took care of me when I broke my ankle. She has had some health problems recently, and I want to give her a great Mother's Day.

I was a troubled teen & put my parents through alot of heartache!
Now, I am in my 40's & suffer from Bi-polar & I am disabled.
I call her everyday. Sometimes, I feel like my burdens are just to much to handle~yet she does so with a smile.
They help us out all the time. When she comes to town she brings care packages...like the Bulk toliet paper(72 rolls) from Sams Club).
I would love to send her this for Mother's day!
She deserves it!

If it weren't for my mom I wouldn't be here, and she almost wasn't here either. She had a lung defect and was born premature. They read her last rites several times, always sure she wouldn't make it through the next few hours, but she pulled through and here I am. And also my little one. That's what is so special about my mom.

Despite having a terminally ill disease called Chagas, my mom doesn't complain and is always looking for ways she can to make others happy. My mom has a jtube in her intestines because she can't eat, has a catheder in her heart for her medications, is in constant pain, and uses a wheelchair because she is so weak. Instead of being depressed, my mom has always looked at the glass half full, not half empty. She is an amazing woman and is not only my mom, but my very best friend.
Even though she has physical limitations, she is constantly doing what she can to think of others whether it be a phone call letting someone know she is thinking of them of sending them a letter of encouragement. My mom is the proud mother of 4 children and she has ALWAYS been there for all of us. No matter what we've been through in life, we've always had the love and support of my mom. I used to be a competitive figure skater and she was always sitting there in her wheelchair, cheering the loudest, and waiting to give me flowers when I was done. When I've been sad, my mom has been there to give me a big hug and helped to dry my tears. When I've had accomplishments, she's been there to celebrate with me and has told me how proud she is of me. I am so very honored to have the incredible mom that I do and I want the whole world to know how proud I am to be her daughter. Life has not been easy for my mom with frequent hospital stays, but her attitude is something we should all strive to attain. If anyone deserves to win a Mother's Day contest it is my very precious mom. I don't know how much longer I have with her since her disease is progressing, but I cherish every moment with her. I LOVE YOU MOM and thank you for being the best role model I could ever ask for!!!! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! YOU ARE AN ANGEL AND MY HERO!
