Featured Employee – Jeannie Thompson
Jeannie Thompson is our featured employee for March! Jeannie is the Data Manager with GiftTree’s Design Team, and has been with the company since 2005. She took a moment out of her busy schedule to answer some of our most burning questions.
What’s your favorite thing about working here at GiftTree?
It’s hard to pick just one favorite thing, but I would have to say the Team Spirit! All of my coworkers are just the best people in the whole world. I love coming to work everyday because all my friends are here!
Do you have a favorite holiday?
Thanksgiving is by far my favorite holiday of all! We all gather at the home of my friend, Mike Padilla. We all cook together & enjoy the day without a TV on. After 40 years of friendship, we are like family. We all look forward to it all year long!
If you had the chance to time travel for 24 hours, would you chose the future or the past? Where would you go?
I would travel back in time to spend one more day with my grandmother, Doris Burriss.
If you had to eat one item that we put in GiftTree’s gift baskets every single day for a month, what would you pick?
Rosemary Garlic crackers! By far my favorite food at GiftTree.com
How much sewing material do you have at your house?
Let’s just say that if fabric is the currency of the future…The Thompsons will be filthy disgusting rich someday!
This is why we love Jeannie:
Jeannie has held multiple job titles within the company, and was recently promoted to the Data Manager in the design department. Jeannie’s duties include maintaining an extensive catalog file, entering all the wonderful recipes for EVERY gift on GiftTree.com., and other office manager tasks that keeps her very busy. She does this with a positive attitude, a smile on her face, and a bowl full of chocolate on her desk, for anybody who needs it. Jeannie has a love for life that is contagious, and holds her family and friends close to her heart. Those of us who have had the pleasure to get to know Jeannie can tell you that behind that bubbly personality lurks a feisty side… and you better watch out when you have a birthday or aren’t paying attention, because this feisty side likes to come out to play in the form of pranks and good natured jabs. But don’t worry, we like to get her back… when she’s least expecting it.

Jeannie is an amazing co-worker and friend! She always has a funny story or picture to make us laugh. Not to mention she’s the craftiest person I know, and we’ve reaped the benefits of that many times.

Jeannie is the GiftTree Mommy!! She’s there when you need chocolate, Medicine, advice… anything! Her quirky sense of humor makes this environment awesome.

Oh Alicia….you are so sweet and you made me sound good! I am so thankful for GiftTree.com, not just for the obvious reason of having a great job, but friends like you truly make this a fabulous experience! I don’t feel like you are all my ‘work friends’, you are my dear friends who are more like family than anything else! Love you too!
