    Corporate Gifts Q & A: Occasion Gift Programs

    So far our Corporate Gifts Q & A series has covered complex billing, promotional gifts and shipping on demand. This next question is on a subject I don’t think we’ve blogged about before, which is surprising considering how often we are the “goto” company for corporate gifts of all occasions like birthday gifts, anniversary gifts, thank you gifts, and more. This next question is from a human resources manager who is interested in ordering from GiftTree to celebrate employee anniversaries and birthdays.

    Q: I have been a customer for a long time and I’ve recently decided I would like to start a company program where we present our employees with a gift basket on their birthday. I am also thinking of giving them a gift basket on their anniversary with our company. How can we do this?

    A: That’s a great idea! There are several ways this could be done. You can order the gifts on an as needed basis, you can submit a bulk order form if you would like to send 10 or more gifts at a time and/or you can schedule occasion reminders so you don’t forget a birthday or anniversary.

    To simplify the process of ordering a gift on an as needed basis you can upload each employee’s shipping information into your account. When you are ready to select a gift for an employee, simply log into your GiftTree account, select the gift you would like to send, and then from the drop down menu you can select a contact from your address book. Next you can select the shipping method, fill out the card message and select your payment method. You also have the ability to establish a payment method for your account, which will eliminate the need to manually enter payment information at the end of each order.

    If you plan to send at least 10 birthday gifts and/or anniversary gifts a month, another way to send the orders to us would be to fill out a bulk order form and submit it via email to our corporate services team. You can locate the bulk order form and the instructions by logging into your account or you can contact our corporate services team and they will gladly email you a copy. The bulk order form is also the best way to order promotional gifts or, if we have created a custom gift basket for your company, to ship on demand .

    You can also schedule occasion reminders so you don’t forget an employee’s birthday or anniversary. If you create reminders, you will receive a reminder email 10 days before the date of the occasion. You can schedule reminders for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and more by logging into your GiftTree account.
