Bon Voyage – Destination Weddings

More and more people are opting for more intimate destination weddings. There are many advantages to having a destination wedding such as having a themed backdrop and weeding out any crazy distant relatives who only come for the open bar. My husband and I rented a four-bedroom lodge in a national forest and invited thirty of our closest friends and family. We had a barbeque to go with our lodge theme and had a dragonfly motif throughout. It was wonderful because I knew everyone who came really wanted to be apart of our big day (since they had to drive at least three hours to get there). I think it gave our friends and family an excuse to take a vacation too!
