Know someone who works on their feet?

For the first 15 or so years of my career, I worked in retail. Standing in uncomfortable (but fantastic looking) shoes for 8-10 hours a day was not pleasant in the slightest.

Well, my Mom just retired from her government job, and is bored out of her mind. So, what does she do? Goes and gets a job in retail! I can tell you that she’s not used to standing all day, and by the end of her shift, her feet hurt despite her comfortable (and decidedly NOT fantastic looking) shoes. I don’t blame her…comfort is key. I wish I’d known that!

I’m going to get her the Healing Spa Slippers with Amenities Bag. I have to tell you guys, that the best gifts are those that are: a) Unexpected and b) Useful. This gift qualifies handily as both. I went down into our warehouse and cracked open a bottle of the Lemon Verbena foot lotion. It’s an amazing smell. There’s almost no one out there who doesn’t like the fresh scent of citrus.

The cool thing about this is the warming packets that are microwavable. Pop them in for a few seconds, insert them in the Spa Slippers, moisturize the feet, and you’re off to relaxation land. What’s better than something warm that smells delicious? We all like pie, right?

I just know that my Mom will have her feet up after a long day of working, and think how lucky she is to have a son that works for a high-end gift company!
