Florentine Opera

Milwaukee’s Florentine Opera Company is Wisconsin’s oldest and most enduring performing arts organization. It is also the fifth oldest opera company in the United States.

Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra

The Milwaukee Symphony...

Is a major, professional orchestra. Consisting of 88 full time professional musicians and a volunteer symphony chorus of 150 singers from our community.

Performs over 150 concerts a year for nearly 1/2 million residents throughout Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

December, 1999, became the first major American orchestra to perform in Cuba in 40 years.

Has "the most progressive" education programs of any American orchestra (according to the national magazine Musical America) -- serving 70,000 children annually.

Runs one of the largest state touring programs of any American orchestra -- serving 25,000 residents in 20 communities.

Operates the third largest symphony national radio broadcast network in the U.S., reaching over 200 markets and a million listeners.

Is one of the most widely-recorded American orchestras, having released 16 CDs since 1988 on the Koss Classics and Telarc labels.

Has toured Europe, Japan, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and throughout the U.S.

Milwaukee Ballet

For over a generation the Milwaukee Ballet has been delighting audiences with dazzling choreography and incomparable dancers. And now, as we improve upon our rich history, the Ballet is poised to launch itself on an even more energetic trajectory.

Skylight Opera Theatre

Skylight Opera Theatre is located in the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward. The Broadway Theatre Center houses two unique theatres: the 358-seat Cabot Theatre, a replication of an 18th-century European opera house and the 90-seat Studio Theatre, a versatile black box space. The Broadway Theatre Center is home to three theatre companies: Skylight Opera Theatre, Chamber Theatre, Theatre X and now, Bialystock & Bloom Company.

Marcus Center for the Performing Arts

The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts is located in the center of the downtown theater district and offers the best of cultural and community programming in the state. We are home to the finest performing artists in Wisconsin, such as the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Florentine Opera Company, Milwaukee Ballet Company, First Stage Milwaukee, Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, Martin Luther King Day Celebration, United Performing Arts Fund, Ethnic and Cultural Festivals, and the new "At the Center" community concerts. In addition, the Marcus Center is the home of Broadway in Milwaukee.
