The mission of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Association (FWSOA) is to provide symphonic performances at the highest level of artistic excellence; to promote symphonic music to the widest possible audience; and to serve and enrich our community.
The mission of the Fort Worth Opera are to educate, entertain, and expand the horizons of current and future audiences and artists through variety and artistic integrity.
As one of the 14 oldest opera companies in the entire nation, Fort Worth Opera is the oldest continuously performing opera company in Texas. As of the end of the 2003/04 Season, they have produced 210 mainstage operas.
Over 500 performers and production personnel are employed by Fort Worth Opera each year. This includes local performing arts groups, such as the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Worth Dallas Ballet and the Texas Boys Choir. Approximately 85% of Fort Worth Opera's annual budget is returned to Tarrant County each year.
Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival, Fort Worth's most honored event, celebrates its 19th year. Presented by Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. and produced by the Source One Marketing Communications, the festival hosts an average of 430,000 people annually during the four-day visual arts, entertainment and culture event. MAIN ST. showcases a nationally recognized fine art and fine craft juried art fair, live concerts, performance artists and street performers on the streets of downtown Fort Worth.
The mission of the Circle Theatre is the advocacy of contemporary plays rarely seen in this community. They are committed to presenting professional, innovative theatre in an intimate setting! Through the talents and dedication of its artists; staff; and volunteers, Circle Theatre plays an active role in todays regional theatre movement. They are proud to represent the art of live theatre, the city of Fort Worth and the state of Texas!
