The Dallas Zoo and The Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park offer a variety of family events year round. The special public events offer lots of activities and live music and are free with the price of regular Zoo admission. Keeper Talks take place every weekend and offer visitors the chance to learn firsthand about animal care at the Zoo.

Dallas Arboretum

The Dallas Arboretum features 66 acres with 11 lush display gardens that offer seasonal color all year long. Home of Dallas Blooms Spring, the Southwest's largest outdoor floral festival, the Arboretum provides a tranquil oasis where visitors are surrounded by the beauty of all four seasons. Amenities include the Hoffman Family Gift Shop, a dining terrace and several facilities available for rental.

The Science Place

The Science Place is one of the most compelling and unique museums in the Southwest United States. Offering three distinct areas of specialization (exhibit halls, a planetarium, and an IMAX® Theater) as well as hosting the oldest science preschool in the southwest. It opened in 1946.

The Science Place is about discovering the joy of learning through over 200 hands-on exhibits, larger than life films, engaging light shows and exhilarating soundscapes.

Dallas Farmers Market

Dallas Farmers Market is recognized nationally as an important center where farmers still sell their seasonal crops directly to customers. Located in the southeastern corner of the central business district in downtown Dallas at 1010 South Pearl Street, Dallas, Texas 75201, it provides a unique opportunity to shop for fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, specialty and international products.The Dallas Farmers Market is open Sunday thru Saturday 7am to 6pm.

Six Flags Over Texas

Renowned theme park is themed after the six nations that have governed Texas. U.S., Spain, Mexico, France, Confederacy, and Republic of Texas. Major attractions, include rides, shows, concerts, games and restaurants.

Dallas World Aquarium

The aquarium features more than 85,000 gallons (321,800 l) of saltwater with marine life from around the world. Walk through the 22,000-gallon (83,280 l) tunnel to experience a panoramic view of reef life. Many animals found at the top of the food chain can be seen in the Predators exhibit. Ten 2,000-gallon (7,571 l) displays present marine life from around the world - Palau, Southern Australia, Lord Howe Island, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Bahamas, British Columbia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Japan. Representing the waters of four continents, three oceans and various seas, the aquarium gives a glimpse of the underwater world.
