Showcasing Arts & Culture

Albright-Knox Art Gallery

The Albright-Knox Art Gallery, one of the nation's oldest public arts organizations, has a clear and compelling mission to acquire, exhibit, and preserve both modern and contemporary art. It focuses especially on contemporary art, with an active commitment to taking a global and multidisciplinary approach to the presentation, interpretation, and collection of the artistic expressions of our times. In an enriching, dynamic, and vibrant environment that embraces diverse cultures and traditions, the Gallery seeks to serve a broad and far-reaching audience.

Artpark

Artpark offers a full spectrum of engaging entertainment; from productions of immortal Broadway musicals, swinging big band concerts and celebrity performances in the Main Theater; to free concerts, music and cultural festivals in the outdoor amphitheater. Created especially with the family in mind, Artpark also offers art, theater, and video camps for youth, and a variety of family programs on Saturdays. The park also includes numerous hiking trails, nature areas, fishing docks and picnic areas. There's something for everyone at Artpark!

Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens

When visiting the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens you can actually see three historic attractions in one: Olmsted's South Park, the 1899 tri-domed glass conservatory building, and the Victorian-style gardens of plants (both "Gardens Under Glass" and "Gardens Under the Sky"). See History Section for more information.

The plants inside are arranged in classic Victorian style - similar plants from throughout the world are grouped together. Although there are some plants native to our temperate region, most of the plants are native to the tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world.
